1970's Man's Green Leisure Suit
Jacket: Light green polyester stabilized warp knit unlined men's leisure suit. Lapel collar with very wide (4.5") collar points. Shoulder epaulets (1.5" wide) with one inch green mottled button on each shoulder. Center front opening with four button/buttonhole closure. Four patch pockets on jacket front: two 5" x 5.5" square over each side of chest; two 7" x 7.5" over abdomen area. All pockets with box pleat at center of pocket, flap with and functioning button/buttonhole at center of flaps. Plain jacket back. Six inch vents on side seams of jacket. Machine stitched jacket hem.
Long set-in sleeves with three inch wide cuffs and one button/buttonhole closure at wrist.
Darker green top-stitching throughout garment including collar and jacket edges, epaulets and pockets. Cuff topstitching in matching collar to garment fabric.
Trousers: Unlined light green polyester warp knit trousers. Two-inch wide waistband with six self- fabric belt loops and center front zipper fly opening. Heavy hook/eye closure. Slant front pockets, besom pockets at left and right back with button/buttonhole fastener on left pocket. Wide left - approximately 10.5" at lower edge, no cuff. Cream colored stabilized warp knit polyester fabric for pockets and facing of waistband.

1970s Ultrasuede Ensemble
Tan Ultrasuede skirt and vest. Blue and tan polyester blouse. All items hand sewn by donor. Skirt and vest: Vogue patterns. Blouse: Butterick Pattern Ultrasuede skirt is wrap-style with A-line, set on waist band with front wrap and button closure. Vest has princess seams and three button center front closure. Garment is made using flat-construction techniques in which the Ultrasuede is overlapped at the seams and top-stitched in place. Hem is faced and top-stitched to finish. Special techniques used throughout are designed for use with Ultrasuede fabric. Garment made in 1976. Blouse is polyester with stand collar with long ties extending at center front to form bow. Yoke at shoulders with soft gathers eased to yoke at front. Center back zipper approximately 7 long with floating snap closure at neck. Long set-in sleeves with 2" cuffs and self fabric covered buttons. French seams used in blouse side seams.

Top <br />Scoop neckline, front and back finished with self fabric bias and topstitched with red machine zig-zag one-quarter inch wide - long raglan sleeves - one layer of georgette; elastic casing at wrist edge, casing finished with narrow machine stitched zig-zag stitch in red - top hang loosely from neckline with curved edges at side hems; top layer 2" shorter than bottom layer; middle layer hangs between two lengths; machine rolled hem edge on each layer finished with narrow red zig-zag stitch.<br />b. Pants <br />Triple layer of polyester with top layer 1.5" shorter than bottom layer; middle layer hangs between lengths; hem finish is machine rolled hem on each layer in narrow red zig-zag stitch - self fabric elastic waistline casing stitched/finished with wide (1/4") red machine zig-zag stitch. - french seam used on seams of bottom/inside layer of pants; top two layers of polyester stitched together (handled as one) at side seams.<br /><div class="page">

De la Renta, Oscar, Black silk dress with floral motif
Oscar de la Renta black floral print below knee dress with v-neck and long sleeves. Stylized orange-red and yellow small and large flower print with blue vines and green leaves. V-neck outlined in 2"wide coordinating border fabric with blue edge and floral motif within in band. Border continues from neck opening to waistline seam at center front. Back bodice with slight v shaped at center back neck, also outlined with border fabric. Hook and eye and center back neckline. Bodice lined with black lining fabric. Center back hand-picked zipper. Long set in sleeves with two inch wide cuff of same border fabric used at neckline and center front of bodice with blue edge forming edging of cuff. Two covered snaps closure at wrist. Dirndl skirt gathered to bodice at waistband. Basic linear silhouette in skirt with slight fullness. Larger floral border print at hem edge. Skirt fully lined. Black crocheted belt loops at side waist of dress. No belt with garment.

Beaded top of red, yellow, green and brown beads, in stripes along the top and roses at the bottom trimmed in beaded fringe. Opens at center front with buttons, bias straps. Skirt has two layers of chiffon, the top layer is pleated and hand-painted in the same stripe and roses motif.

Madame Grès evening dress; navy silk jersey full-length gown is finely pleated on a halter bodice and has a diamond cutout midriff, front closure and straps that stream into a T-shaped back. Yellow long sleeve Ultrasuede coat dress with 3.5" self fabric tie belt <br />Dress has a round neckline, center-front opening neckline to hem; 4" extension/underlap of left skirt from waist to hem. Llong kimono sleeve with underarm gusset. Side seam pockets. 3/4" elastic casing at waistline. Center-back and side back seams; side back going into underarm gusset. Flat construction and accompaning topstitching throughout. Closures: heavy metal snap at center front waistline; two metal snaps above center front bodice, the first is 7" below neckline. One piece garment panels from neckline to hem. Fusible woven interfacing along front opening; interfacing fusing is loose.<br />Belt is 3.5" wide self-fabric tie belt of yellow Ultrasuede. 76" long - slightly contoured.

Halston, Roy; green silk chiffon layer dress
Mint green Halston floor length gown. <br />Asymmetrical neckline angling from right shoulder to left mid armhole with reverse configuration at back neckline, i.e. left shoulder angling to right mid armhole. Self-fabric bias finish at neckline. Garment consists of three layers of mint green georgette, full and flowing, loosely hanging from shoulder to hem, with handkerchief hem at lower edge of all three layers. Sleeves cut-on to top layer of georgette in body of gown. Sleeves, with upper section only - no lower armhole section, long, sheer and flowing, extend to hem of dress. Sleeve section rectangular in shape but drapes to form handkerchief or point at hem. Under sections of georgette form armhole opening with self-fabric bias finish at left back and right front. Machine rolled edge finish on layers of gown and sleeve.
