This coat belonged to Carol Sue Zacks. Carol Sue was born on 5/20/1936. Her father was a partner in her grandfather's milk company. Her grandfather, Louis Henry Pailet, emigrated from Russia and began a dairy farm. Carol Sue graduated from Bexley High School and later earned a degree in Clinical Child Psychology from the Ohio State University. She was married to Gordon Zacks, who is the Chairman of the R.G. Barry Corporation. Receipt from time of purchase shows that the jacket cost $228.00.

Description
An account of the resource
Courrèges silver metallic polyester padded jacket lined with white polyester fleece.<br />Jacket has a waist length with 2" band at bottom edge; 3" extension at right front band with one snap closure. Jacket side seams open at bottom 4" ; lower edge band separates at side seams with 4" extension on front unit; heavy white male snap on front extension with three metal female snaps on underside to adjust tightness of jacket at lower edge. 2" stand collar, 3" extension on at right front with one snap closure. Long set-in two piece sleeves: 2" cuffs with 2" extension flap and heavy white snap closure. All seams, darts and patch pockets stitched and double topstitched. Two eyelet holes at back lower arm area of bodice. White faux fleece acrylic lining given puffy look to garment; white fleece also pokes out along seams for added interest/design of garment. Heavy white plastic center front separating zipper closure. Patch pockets at left and right front bust area: 6" long x 5" wide; 2" flap on each pocket with two heavy white plastic snaps. Shallow back and front yokes. Courrèges logo in white appliqued on left front above pocket. Center back seam and left and right darts in back. 100% polyester.

This dress was worn by Mrs. Frank (Isabel) Eberstadt. Isabel was the daughter of poet Ogden Nash. Born in 1933 in Baltimore, Maryland, she later married Frederick Eberstadt. Frederick was a well-known photographer and style-setter in New York City. They were key figures in the New York social scene in the 1960s and 70s. Isabel was a graduate of Bryn Mawr and a published writer.
