Dior Double-Breasted Green Suit
Teal green double breasted wool blazer with straight skirt. Skirt has tucks at front waist, slit side pockets, and a CB kick pleat. Blazer has long notched collar with lapels, six 1 black buttons, pocket flaps both sides front, left breast pocket w/ 1 welt. Straight 2-piece sleeves have three 3/4 buttons on each vent.
Cream brocade dress blouse with front bow, long sleeves and five button back neck closure. Forward front shoulder yoke and shoulder pads, stand collar with stitched on bow at center front neckline. Two box pleats vertically down center front. Placket back opening with five covered buttons and self -fabric button loops. Two buttons on collar unit and three on back bodice unit. Long sleeves, full gathers at cap and 1.5" cuff with one self-fabric covered button on each cuff.

Dior in Ohio: 1947-1997
This exhibition celebrates the fashion arts of Christian Dior in recognition of the 70th anniversary of his post WWII “New Look”. Featured garments include ball gowns, daywear and suits exclusively from Ohio museums or worn by Ohio women. In addition to Diors from our collection, are evening gowns and day dresses worn by Elizabeth Parke Firestone of Akron from The Henry Ford Museum as well as the Western Reserve Historical Society, which is also lending day and evening wear belonging to Mary Peters Bolton from Lancaster and Cleveland. Kent State University Museum is also lending garments, and other Ohio women represented in the exhibition include Dorothy Peters from Lancaster and Marilyn Maxwell from Cincinnati among others.

Loose fitting shirt (a) has long set-in sleeves ending in cuffs with 2 bound buttonholes and covered button closure, keyhole front opening closed with covered button and loop CF, long back zipper opening put in by hand. Flared leg pant (b) has faced waist and CB zip opening put in by hand and finished with a silk-faced extension over zipper with 7/8" wide 'Jupe Fix' black metal hook/bar closure.
