Blue/White Vera Maxwell Dress
Description
An account of the resource
Blue/white cotton stripe, sleeveless dress with bateau neckline; knife pleated bodice to form solid blue color.
Blue and white printed vertical stripe cotton broadcloth fabric used throughout garment. Bodice in four units: front, side fronts and left and right back with center back zipper closure. Bodice, front and back, pleated to hide white section of vertical stripe and forming a solid blue bodice. Pleats released below waistline, front and back, forming skirt with blue and white vertical stripes. Side sections of bodice connected to skirt with waistline seam. Front and back units with bodice and skirt as one piece of fabric from neckline to him.
Front bodice with side seam bust darts. Back bodice with pleats folded to shape at neckline rather than use shoulder darts. Lingerie straps at shoulder seams.
Center back zipper with full length of white and blue stripe continuing up from skirt to form design on either side of zipper. Hook and thread eye at neckline.
