Provenance
This dress belonged to Ann B. Swint. Ann was born in Canton, Ohio on 10/10/1933. Her family moved to Columbus, Ohio where she graduated from The Ohio State University with a BS in Home Economics in 1955. Ann married Samuel Swint Jr. who worked at the Graniteville Company, a textile firm that manufactured denim for jeans. He retired as executive vice president of the company after working there for 34 years. Ann wore this dress to black-tie dinner dances in New York City and Southampton.
