Description

Yellow long sleeve Ultrasuede coat dress with 3.5" self fabric tie belt
Dress has a round neckline, center-front opening neckline to hem; 4" extension/underlap of left skirt from waist to hem. Llong kimono sleeve with underarm gusset. Side seam pockets. 3/4" elastic casing at waistline. Center-back and side back seams; side back going into underarm gusset. Flat construction and accompaning topstitching throughout. Closures: heavy metal snap at center front waistline; two metal snaps above center front bodice, the first is 7" below neckline. One piece garment panels from neckline to hem. Fusible woven interfacing along front opening; interfacing fusing is loose.
Belt is 3.5" wide self-fabric tie belt of yellow Ultrasuede. 76" long - slightly contoured.

Provenance

This dress was worn by Jeanne Bonnet McCoy. Jeanne was born in 1915 and was the oldest of three daughters. She graduated from Bexley High School in 1933 and from The Ohio State University in 1937 with a B.A. in English. She married John G. McCoy in 1944. John was the President and CEO of City National Bank & Trust Co which would transform into Bank One under his leadership.
