A. Dress
Deep V-front neckline; 3" wide white pique inset (pinned in place) inside front neckline. 1" wide strips of front neckline fabric extend from shoulder seam to center back and sewn together at center back. Strips sewn to upper edge of back bodice forming stand collar effect in back bodice at neckline. Inverted u-shape midriff front seam; two pleats on left and right fronts go into U-shaped midriff seam. Tab on right front below V neckline and above U-shaped seam; bound buttonhole on tab; button missing; 1.5" wide buttonhole indicating one large button was used in this location. Bodice back with above waist seam across back; two released darts stitched for two inches from seam and released up into body of back bodice. Cut on elbow length sleeves; covered shoulder pads. Very full gored skirt starting from curved U-shape/empire line in front and back bodice; 12 gores shaped to waistline then expand for hip and very full skirt. 10.5" long underlined/sewn-in insets of very stiff Pellon non woven interfacing from above waistline seams front and back; Pellon helps the skirt stand away from the body.
